Wildlife Conservationist of the Year

To us, he's just Papa, but in the wildlife world, Matt's dad, Mark is kind of a big deal!
Friday night we went to the Alabama Wildlife Federation Governor's Conservation Achievement Awards Banquet. You know what? Alabama's governor was actually there and presented Papa with the award for Wildlife Conservationist of the Year largely for his work with the red-cockaded woodpecker and the eastern indigo snake.

Granny was so proud!
