So, Madelynn turned three Monday and we had a FULL week! When I was little, my mom read this book to me about birthdays. It started out, "Wake up, Baby. Today is your special day. A day full of fun and surprises." In our family, those lines are always quoted on our birthdays. Madelynn had a WEEK full of fun and surprises.
First, she took
Cookie Mama cookies to school to share for snack on Monday. SO cute! Thank you, Shannon!!
Then we had dinner all together Monday night--leftover pizza and pasta--with cookies for dessert.
And we opened her presents from family.
Baby dolls and Mrs. Potato Head.
And cards from all our sweet family.
But the BIG surprise was the PLAYHOUSE. All the grandparents--including Granny--went in with Matt and I to buy a playhouse for the yard. The box was so huge that Jake and I had to take the truck to Tuscaloosa Monday to pick it up.
So, after dinner, Dean and Madelynn helped Matt put it together.
And it turned out so cute.
And they all love it!
It has a doorbell, and a mail slot, and a bench,
and a skylight,
and a window that opens,
and a phone so she can call everyone and tell you all how FABULOUS it is!!

love it! tell me where and i'll upload the pics i took. sorry we forgot to do that! i mean with 4 kids in the house, how could we have done that! Lindsey Cummins can do it, why can't we!!? HA!! you're amazing lindsey, if you're reading this!
